All Because Two People Fell In Love

I had a very special conversation with my sister the other day. We got to talking about the preconceived notion that there is such thing as a "perfect couple". We both knew that we were not perfect and we also knew that our husband and boyfriend were not perfect as well. We live in a world where people are so pretentious....trying to be something they are not. I am so happy to say that I am perfectly happy in my imperfect marriage. We are real and present in eachothers lives. Our love for one another grows stronger with every imperfect moment we share together. Isn't it wonderful to love...and be loved...JUST AS YOU ARE.

Griffith Park Observatory

A couple of weeks ago Garett took the family to Griffith Park Observatory. Jake has mentioned lots of different things that he would like to be when he grows up. Everything from firefighter, teacher, and of course, our favorite, was the day he told us that he wanted to be a strawberry picker( that's a funny story that I would love to tell you....call me) Anyways, Jake has also expressed and interest in being an astronaut. He loved seeing the exhibits in the museum. His favorite was the one where we could see how much each of us weighed on the different planets. Can I just say that I wish I weighed what I do on Pluto. We had a great time checkin' everything out. Outside on the front lawn there were many different telescopes pointing in different directions. It was a very clear night so we were able to see Mars, the moon, a red star, Orion's Nebula and of course we enjoyed the Los Angeles city lights also. We had a wonderful time together.

Quick getaway to Mammoth Mountain

Garett and I took a couple of days and escaped to Mammoth Mountain to do some snowbording. We arrived there just after the main part of the storm where they had just recieved about 4 or 5 feet of snow. We stayed at a darling little bed and breakfast right there in the main part of town. The weather was perfect, the views of the mountains were spectacular, we had a blast snowboarding, the ride up the chairlift to the top of the mountain was breathtaking, the bagels that we got each morning were amazingly delicious, the fireplace at the end of the day was perfect, and we loved being there with our friends Kyle and Erica. I have to say that one of my favorite memories was when Erica and I had decided to take a break at the lodge and let the boys go tear up the mountainside without us. We sat outside by the fire and I was enjoying a warm bowl of soup in my bread bowl and it began to snow. It was so beautiful and I literally had to stop to take in the moment. Its in moments like that that you are so grateful for this beautiful world that we live in. We had a fabulous time and look forward to getting Jake on the slopes soon too.
